Two-dimensional Shooting of Multiple Curves via Rigid Motion
Dai-Ni Hsieh (The Johns Hopkins University)

Abstract:

Given multiple curves and their initial velocities, we aim to model the motion of curves such that they go through rigid motion, and they do not cross each other. To address the problem of crossing, we formulate the motion of curves as an optimal control problem constrained by a time-dependent smooth vector field. Trajectories of rigid curves can then be computed as paths of least action. Examples of bouncing curves will be presented in the talk.
