Adjoint p-adic L-functions and the Geometry of Cuspidal Eigenvarieties for General Symplectic Groups

Abstract:
In this talk, we will start with some recapitulation of the adjoint 
-function attached to a cuspidal eigenform. Then, we will discuss Kim’s pairing (by following Bellaïche’s Eigenbook), revealing the relationship between the adjoint -function and the geometry of the cuspidal eigencurve. Finally, we will discuss a generalisation of Kim’s pairing for general symplectic groups.
