Invited Speakers:
Chiu-Yen Kao (Claremont McKenna College)
Seyyed Abbas Mohammadi (Yasouj University)
Braxton Osting (The University of Utah)
Edouard OUDET (Université Grenoble Alpes)

Organizers:
Chiu-Yen Kao (Claremont McKenna College)

Aim & Scope:

Shape optimization problems involve many areas of mathematics including differential geometry and geometric analysis, partial differential equations (PDE),numerical analysis, and scientific computation. These optimization problems arise naturally in many different problems from science and technology, such as mechanical vibrations, photonic crystals and population dynamics, to name just a few. This mini-course on shape optimization consists of four talks which discuss various theoretical tools and numerical approaches to shape optimization problems.

Reception and Registration: 9:30

Lecture starting time: 10:00
